MMU and Girideepam Business School Strengthen Academic Partnership with MoU and SEA Renewal

On January 15, 2026, Multimedia University (MMU) and Girideepam Business School renewed their Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and signed a Student Exchange Agreement (SEA) in a virtual ceremony. This renewal underscores the institutions’ commitment to their academic partnership. The agreement was formalized by Prof. Dato’ Dr. Mazliham Mohd Su’ud, President of MMU, and Dr. Subin Thomas, Principal of Girideepam Business School.

Collaboration History

The collaboration between MMU and Girideepam Business School commenced in 2021 and has included various academic initiatives. These initiatives comprise a FinTech keynote session facilitated by Professor Dr. Saravanan Muthaiyah, from MMU’s Faculty of Management, and a visit by Girideepam students to the MMU campus in 2023. During this visit, students engaged with faculty members and experienced campus life.

Objectives of the Renewed Agreement

The renewed MoU and the SEA aim to provide students from both institutions with opportunities for international exposure, cross-cultural learning, and academic exchange. Leaders from both universities have indicated a positive outlook regarding the continuation of the partnership, which is anticipated to enhance student development and promote academic collaboration.

Several officials attended the signing ceremony, including Prof. Ts. Dr. Lau Siong Hoe, Vice President of Market Exploration, Engagement and Touchpoint; Dr. Sy. Nurleyana Wafa Sy. Naguib Wafa, Director of International Collaboration and Engagement; and Dr. Hasni Mohd Hanafi, Deputy Dean of Academic and Innovative Learning at the Faculty of Management, along with other faculty members.
