Mindanao State University Achieves Research Excellence Award at National RDLead Conference and Year-End Assembly

Mindanao State University (MSU) received accolades for its research contributions at the RDLead Conference and Year-End Assembly, taking place on December 17, 2025, at the Grand Westside Hotel in Parañaque City. Both the MSU-Main Campus, located in Marawi City, and MSU-Maguindanao were acknowledged by the National Research Council of the Philippines (NRCP) under the Research and Development Leadership (RDLead) Program.

Awards and Recognitions

The MSU-Main Campus was awarded the Publication Productivity Award for its substantial output of publications indexed in Scopus. In contrast, MSU-Maguindanao was presented with the Engagement Achievement Award, recognizing its high research index scores and successful involvement in various projects.

Delegation and Leadership

A delegation from the university, which included Dr. Fema Abamo, the former Vice Chancellor for Research, Extension, and Development, and Dr. Ramjie Y. Odin representing MSU-Maguindanao, received the awards. This recognition reflects the collaborative efforts of university leadership to uplift research standards within the institution and aligns with its broader objective of fostering academic innovation in the Bangsamoro region.

Event Significance

The event not only commemorated these accomplishments but also emphasized MSU’s mission to promote transformative leadership through education and research that addresses both local and national needs, supported by the mentorship provided through the NRCP RDLead Program.
