The event aimed to connect prospective students in Indonesia with universities worldwide. MFU representatives presented information about the university’s programs, admission requirements, tuition fees, facilities, scholarship opportunities, and career prospects, assisting attendees in their academic decisions.

The fair attracted over 20 universities and educational institutions from various countries, including Germany, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Qatar, Singapore, Thailand, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States, and Vietnam. Additionally, it offered a chance for the MFU delegation to reconnect with Indonesian alumni.

The delegation’s schedule included visits to multiple Indonesian universities to explore and establish partnerships. Initial discussions were held at Petra Christian University (PCU) in Surabaya, where MFU representatives met with members of the School of Business and Management, the Food Technology Department, and the International Office. Led by Mr. Vido Iskandar, PCU’s Vice Dean for Student Affairs and Corporate Communication, the discussions culminated in an agreement to initiate collaborative activities such as staff and student exchanges and co-teaching courses in areas including food technology, cosmetic sciences, and business.

Ongoing Initiatives and Future Opportunities

MFU and UB have maintained a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) since 2019, enabling various collaborative efforts such as student exchanges and joint research initiatives, particularly involving MFU’s School of Agro-Industry and School of Science. The institutions are currently working on developing a joint certification program in food science and technology and are exploring cooperation opportunities between MFU’s School of Management and UB’s Faculty of Economics and Business, as well as the Faculty of Administrative Sciences, related to student mobility, visiting scholar programs, research, and joint degree programs.
