Khon Kaen University Hosts Kasetsart University Delegation for Quality Development Knowledge Exchange and TQC Award Preparation

On September 17, 2025, Khon Kaen University (KKU) hosted a delegation from Kasetsart University (KU) to facilitate a knowledge exchange focused on quality development and preparation for the Thailand Quality Award (TQC). The KKU delegation included Asst. Prof. Tala Thammaroj, Vice President for Administration, and Assoc. Prof. Choopong Thongkamsamut, Vice President for Physical Ecosystem and Environment, along with other university officials and staff.

Forum on Quality Development

The visit featured a forum titled “Approaches to Driving Quality Development Toward Excellence at the University Level, Translating Strategies into Practice, and the Pathway to Success in the TQC Award,” held at the Sarasin Meeting Room in the Sirikunakorn Building at KKU. Asst. Prof. Tala Thammaroj highlighted the need for effective strategies, emphasizing the adoption of results-oriented objectives and key results (OKRs) along with the establishment of clear performance indicators to improve the quality assurance processes. He also mentioned the importance of moving toward accessible digital systems to minimize dependence on paper-based practices.

Implementation of ERP Systems

KKU is currently undertaking a significant transformation of its data management systems by adopting an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platform. This transition aims to replace traditional paper workflows with fully digital operations, which will enhance collaboration across various departments.

Insights from Kasetsart University

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chatchapol Chungchoo from KU expressed that the knowledge gained from KKU would provide practical insights for advancing their own quality development initiatives.

Conclusion of the Visit

The two-day visit, occurring on September 17 and 18, 2025, involved interactions with the Faculty of Engineering and discussions with the Office of Educational Quality Development, concluding with a site visit to the Faculty of Dentistry. This exchange is intended to strengthen the collaborative relationship between the two institutions in the pursuit of excellence in educational and management practices.
