Hong Duc University Hosts National Conference on Innovation and Digital Transformation in Education

Hong Duc University (HDU) participated in a national conference focused on the launch of the movements “The Whole Country Competes in Innovation and Digital Transformation” and “Digital Literacy for All” within the education sector. The conference was organized by the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET) in a hybrid format, aligned with Plan No. 953/KH-BGDĐT, which was implemented on July 10, 2025.
Objectives of the Conference
The primary objective of the conference was to mobilize the collective efforts of the education sector to foster innovative thinking, accelerate the adoption of science and technology, and promote digital transformation in education and training. The initiative also aimed to enhance digital knowledge and skills across various segments of society.
Key Attendees
Key attendees at the main venue, MOET headquarters, included Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc, along with leaders from various MOET units and representatives from the Departments of Education and Training, as well as leaders from higher education and vocational training institutions. Hong Duc University was represented remotely by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ngo Chi Thanh, Vice President and Standing Committee Member of the Party Committee’s Inspection Commission, along with other university leaders.
Opening Remarks
During the opening remarks, Deputy Minister Nguyen Van Phuc underscored the importance of these initiatives as the educational sector transitions towards innovation and global integration. He stated that the two main campaigns are intended to motivate educational institutions to effectively implement digital transformation tasks, reform teaching methodologies, and integrate artificial intelligence and digital technologies into training and management processes.
Presentations and Contributions
The conference also featured presentations from various institutions sharing successful models and experiences related to digital transformation and improving digital literacy. Notable contributions came from Hanoi University of Science and Technology, Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training, Hanoi High-Tech College, and Hanoi – Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.

For Hong Duc University, the conference served as a significant opportunity to align with MOET’s policies and guidelines, enabling the implementation of actionable plans that support the overarching goals of innovation and digital transformation across the country. In the upcoming period, the university plans to develop specific strategies to enact these initiatives in accordance with its academic and governance practices, emphasizing the enhancement of digital technologies in education and the promotion of digital literacy among students, staff, and lecturers.
