Chula Regional Learning Network Center’s Growth Strategy in Saraburi Province

On May 20, 2025, the Chula Regional Learning Network Center inaugurated a School Botanical Garden Workshop titled “The 5 Components Curriculum” at Chulalongkorn University’s Khao Yai Campus in Kaeng Khoi District, Saraburi Province. The event, which took place from May 20 to May 23, attracted school administrators, teachers, and education personnel. The gathering was led by the Education Chief of Lopburi Province and included both theoretical education and practical training components.

Memorandum of Understanding

Additionally, on the same day, the center concluded a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Saraburi Community Development Study and Training Center, which operates under the Community Development Department of Thailand’s Ministry of Interior. The MoU, signed by Associate Professor Dr. Yootthana Chuppunnarat, Vice President of Chulalongkorn University, and Mr. Thinnakorn Boonngern, Inspector General of the Community Development Department and Acting Director of the Saraburi Study and Development Center, aims to enhance and support community development projects.

Goals of the Partnership

This partnership, established in 2024, is intended to advance efforts related to the Royal Initiative Plant Genetic Conservation Project and promote local career development initiatives to alleviate poverty within the Saraburi region.

Attendees and Broader Initiatives

Attendees at the signing included Assistant Professor Dr. Thanasin Chutintaranond, Assistant to the President for Social Engagement; Assistant Professor Dr. Noppadol Kitna, Director of the Regional Learning Network Center; and Associate Professor Dr. Vithaya Kulsomboon, Advisor to the Regional Learning Network Center. This initiative is part of the broader “Chula Social Engagement: Chulalongkorn Proudly Serving Society” strategy, which seeks to create a sustainable local learning ecosystem that supports intellectual and emotional growth, as well as enhancements to the quality of life in the community.
