FIART Got Talent Showcase 2025: A Celebration of Creativity and Self-Discovery at University of Cyberjaya
The FIART Got Talent Showcase 2025 at the University of Cyberjaya highlighted creativity and self-discovery through performances by 142 Foundation in Arts students. Organized by the Centre for Foundation, Language and General Studies (CFLGS), the event was themed “Ilham,” which translates to inspiration and the generation of new ideas.
University Leaders in Attendance
The showcase attracted several university leaders, including Professor Dr. David Whitford, Vice-Chancellor; Professor Dr. Azrin Esmady Ariffin, Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic); and Associate Professor Eric Tang Cher Hing, Director of CFLGS, reflecting the institution’s emphasis on holistic student development.
Vision Board Exhibition
Alongside live performances, a Vision Board Exhibition featured 142 individual vision boards that encapsulated the students’ dreams and aspirations. The performances encompassed a range of artistic expressions, including drama, dance, music, and spoken word, with contributions from various student groups such as Longing Memories, Velvet Thirteen, and Absolute Cinema Productions.
Judging Panel and Community Support
A panel of judges, comprising faculty members and industry professionals, evaluated the performances and noted the students’ originality and emotional expression. The atmosphere in the Grand Hall was characterized by considerable support from parents, faculty, and the greater university community.
Personal Growth and Development
Additionally, the showcase allowed students to address personal challenges, particularly in public speaking and teamwork. Testimonials from participants indicated that the experience contributed to enhanced confidence and the formation of lasting friendships.
