On May 8, 2025, World Smart Medication Day was convened by the Clinical and Translational Division of the International Union of Basic & Clinical Pharmacology (IUPHAR). This annual event is designed to raise awareness regarding safe and effective medication use through an enhanced comprehension of clinical pharmacology. The 2025 theme emphasized the significance of understanding gender differences in clinical pharmacology, as varying drug responses based on gender can substantially affect medication safety and efficacy.

Recognition of Chong Zhan Xuan

Chong Zhan Xuan, a student at the International Medical University (IMU), was recognized as one of the winners in the General Poster competition during World Smart Medication Day. This competition included participants from 13 national pharmacology societies worldwide, including those from the United Kingdom, Italy, and Brazil.
