The debate team from Multimedia University (MMU) has secured victory in the 2025 Chinese Debate World Cup – Malaysia Division, which took place in April 2025 at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). The team members included students from various faculties: Tin Chee Ming, Angela Lo Feng Ming, Tan Xuan Zhi, and Chong Chun Shien from the Faculty of Law, as well as Yong Jia Hao and Quah Yu Wei from the Faculty of Information Science and Technology.
Additional Achievements of MMU
This victory marks an additional achievement for MMU, which also claimed the title in the regional edition of the competition in 2024. The event featured leading debating teams from numerous Malaysian universities, including Universiti Malaya, Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia, and Universiti Putra Malaysia.
Future Representation at the Global Stage
As a result of this accomplishment, the MMU team will advance to represent Malaysia at the upcoming global Chinese Debate World Cup in Beijing, China.
