Rico Juni Artanto: IPB University Alumni Hosts Anti-Bullying Board Game Event for 300 Gen Z Participants
Rico Juni Artanto, an alumnus of IPB University and co-founder of Ruber Innovation Lab, recently hosted an event focused on anti-bullying initiatives, attracting over 300 participants primarily from Generation Z. The interactive board game session featured the game Buddy Pekerti®, which aims to instill values of self-strengthening to combat bullying, particularly in school environments.
Event Highlights
The event took place at the Paragon Community Hub on March 23, where Artanto highlighted the significance of empathy, a growth mindset, and self-confidence in young people. These traits are considered vital for effectively managing personal potential and reducing instances of bullying.
Participant Experience
Among the participants was Angelica, a student from SMKN 57 Jakarta, who noted that the board games helped her build confidence and foster new friendships, enhancing communication and listening skills among attendees.
Guest Speaker Insights
The session also included a talk show with Salman Subakat, CEO of NSEI Paragon Corp, who provided insights on entrepreneurship and faced life challenges while screening a film about the founder of Wardah.
Future Collaborations
Artanto expressed hopes for future collaborations with corporate social responsibility initiatives to further these efforts in bullying prevention within educational contexts. Ruber Innovation Lab serves as a platform for young individuals to develop social innovations aimed at addressing various societal issues sustainably. The initiative has resulted in multiple projects focused on bullying prevention, mental health, leadership skills development, educational storytelling for children, and internet usage education.

Artanto reiterated the Lab’s commitment to collaborate with both governmental and private sectors to effectively tackle and reduce bullying.
