Chula Institute of Asian Studies to Host International Symposium on Thailand–Central Asia Relations

The Institute of Asian Studies, Chulalongkorn University will host an international symposium titled “Thailand and Central Asia: Forging Sustainable Connectivity and New Partnerships in a Dynamic Eurasia” on 29–30 April 2026 at its Bangkok campus. The event will bring together diplomats, policymakers, academics, and industry leaders to explore emerging opportunities for collaboration between Thailand and Central Asia.

Sessions led by international experts will address key developments shaping the Eurasian landscape and identify pathways for sustainable partnerships.

The programme will also mark the official launch of the Central Asian Studies Centre, aimed at advancing research, informing policy, and strengthening international networks. The initiative reflects Thailand’s expanding global engagement and commitment to fostering long-term cooperation with Central Asian partners.
