Vinh Long University of Technology Education (VLUTE) held a conference on 11 July 2026 to announce a series of leadership appointments, marking a significant milestone in strengthening the university’s governance and supporting its long-term development. The event brought together representatives from Vietnam’s Ministry of Education and Training, Vinh Long provincial authorities, educational institutions, businesses, and university stakeholders.
During the ceremony, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung was officially appointed as President of VLUTE. Three Vice Presidents were also appointed: Dr. Nguyen Minh Sang, Associate Professor Dr. Phung The Tuan, and Associate Professor Dr. Phan Anh Cang. In addition, the provincial Party Committee confirmed Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Thanh Tung as Secretary of the University Party Committee and Dr. Nguyen Minh Sang as Deputy Secretary for the 2025–2030 term.
In his remarks, President Nguyen Thanh Tung expressed gratitude for the confidence placed in the new leadership and pledged to work closely with the university community to enhance academic quality, strengthen research, accelerate digital transformation, and expand partnerships with industry and local communities.
Deputy Minister of Education and Training Dr. Nguyen Thi Quyen Thanh congratulated the newly appointed leadership team and encouraged the university to continue advancing governance reforms, innovation, research excellence, and sustainable development, reinforcing VLUTE’s role in regional and national socio-economic progress.
