HSU Awarded UNESCO Certificates: A Major Step in Global Recognition and Integration

On November 20, 2025, Hoa Sen University (HSU) conducted a ceremony at its Nguyen Van Trang Campus to award UNESCO certificates. This event coincided with Vietnamese Teachers’ Day and represents a notable advancement in HSU’s efforts toward global integration over the past three decades.
Ceremony Overview
The ceremony, organized by the World Federation of Clubs and Associations for UNESCO, recognized HSU’s ongoing commitments to education, culture, and sustainable development. This recognition marks a new phase in the university’s mission to share knowledge on an international scale.

The event featured an artistic performance that highlighted Vietnamese culture through traditional attire and instruments, aligning with UNESCO’s mission to preserve cultural heritage. Throughout its thirty-year history, HSU has embraced a liberal education philosophy that emphasizes innovation and the strengthening of international partnerships, enhancing its standing as a representative of Vietnamese education globally.
Awarded Certificates
During the ceremony, HSU received four UNESCO certificates, which included:
- Leading Mission in Science and Education for UNESCO 2025 – acknowledging the university’s significant contributions to scientific and educational advancements.
- Cultural Enterprise for UNESCO 2025 – recognizing efforts in protecting traditional culture and promoting creative industries.
- Global Ethics for UNESCO 2025 – highlighting the university’s commitment to nurturing a responsible and transparent academic culture.
- Participation Certificate for the International Conference on “Heritage Conservation and the Development of Cultural and Creative Industries” – underscoring HSU’s engagement in global cultural discussions.
Remarks from UNESCO Representatives
Mr. Tran Van Manh, Vice Chairman of the Federation of UNESCO Associations in Asia and the Pacific, discussed HSU’s alignment with UNESCO’s core values of culture, education, and knowledge. He underscored the importance of substantive development in creating a stable learning environment that promotes sustainable values.
Seminar on Artificial Intelligence
Following the awards, a seminar was held featuring faculty members from Harvard University, including Prof. John Stauffer and Nguyen Do. The seminar addressed the evolving role of artificial intelligence in creative fields, the preservation of linguistic identity, and provided insights on translating Vietnam’s classic literature, specifically The Tale of Kieu, into English.
