Kazakhstan and Huawei Collaborate to Enhance Digital Education Initiatives
The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of Kazakhstan has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Huawei to advance digital education initiatives within the country. The agreement was established following discussions between a Kazakh delegation, led by Minister Sayasat Nurbek, and Huawei executives, including Vice President Li Junfeng and Max Zhao Xu, CEO of Huawei Technologies Kazakhstan, during a meeting in China.
Launch of Pilot Smart Classroom Projects
The memorandum outlines plans for the launch of pilot smart classroom projects scheduled for 2025. Additionally, it includes initiatives designed to provide students with practical experiences, such as internships at Huawei, participation in global competitions, and job fairs aimed at enhancing graduate employability.
Discussions on Advanced Technologies
During the visit to Huawei’s headquarters, the Kazakh delegation engaged in discussions regarding the company’s advanced technologies, particularly its cloud platforms and innovations in digital classrooms and research centers. The concept of the Smart Classroom, intended to improve learning environments through contemporary technology, was a significant focus of these discussions.
Training the Next Generation of ICT Professionals
This partnership aims to facilitate the training of a new generation of information and communication technology (ICT) professionals while reinforcing Kazakhstan’s position within the global digital economy. The agreement aligns with the country’s broader digitalization strategy, which aspires to enhance educational quality and foster a competitive, knowledge-based economy.
