Three UG Students Recognized with Eric Danquah Foundation Scholarship Awards

Three students from University of Ghana have been awarded scholarships by the Eric Danquah Foundation in recognition of their academic excellence and commitment to advancing agricultural science.
The beneficiaries—Paul Tetteh Laryea, Emmanuel Bobbie, and Lewis Tetteh Kusi—are pursuing Bachelor of Science degrees in Agriculture with a specialization in Crop Science. The scholarship covers tuition and accommodation for the 2025/2026 academic year.
Founded by Eric Yirenkyi Danquah, the initiative aims to nurture the next generation of plant scientists through financial support, mentorship, and academic guidance. Beyond funding, recipients will benefit from mentorship programs designed to prepare them for impactful careers in plant breeding and genetics.
This marks the fourth cohort of beneficiaries under the Foundation’s Exceptional Excellence Scholarship Scheme, bringing the total number of supported University of Ghana students to twelve since 2020. The initiative reflects a broader commitment to strengthening agricultural research capacity and fostering innovation for sustainable development across Africa.
