LUMS Annual Career Fair 2026: Connecting Students with 200+ Employers

The Annual Career Fair 2026, organized by the Career Services Office at Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS), took place on February 7 and featured around 200 local and international organizations. This event aimed to assist students in transitioning from academic settings to the workforce.
Opportunities for Students
Students participating in the fair had the opportunity to engage in introductory discussions and exchange resumes, which helped enhance their confidence and clarify their career paths. The event provided insights into industry expectations, hiring processes, and a wide array of career options. Employers were able to connect with promising talent and establish relationships with the university community. These interactions addressed immediate hiring needs and supported students in making informed career choices.
Attendance and Participation
The fair attracted over 2,100 attendees, including more than 1,700 students and over 250 alumni. A total of 197 companies from various sectors participated, including Information Technology, Banking and Finance, Consultancy, Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Education, Conglomerates, Financial Services, Manufacturing, Fintech, Telecommunications, Pharmaceuticals, Retail, and Oil and Gas.
Insights from Leadership
Dr. Ali Cheema, Vice Chancellor of LUMS, noted the fair’s importance for final-stage students, describing it as a vital channel for their transition into professional roles. He highlighted the event’s dynamic atmosphere and the diverse participation. Dr. Cheema encouraged graduating students to utilize the opportunities available at the fair to gather valuable information and pursue careers that resonate with their passions and values.
