LHU Students Excel in National Academic Competition: A Journey of Innovation and Teamwork

Lac Hong University (LHU) recently hosted an event titled “Meeting with the New Generation Students 2025 team” at Auditorium A301 on January 15, 2026. The program was designed to recognize the LHU BorderWave team for their participation in a national-level academic competition.

Key attendees included Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh, Vice Rector, and MSc. Van Dinh Vy Phuong, Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, along with various faculty members and students. Guests included Mr. Phan Lac Long, Deputy Head of Entertainment Program Production at Vietnam Television (VTV), and Ms. Do Hai Tran, Marketing Director of Herbalife Vietnam.
Praise for the Team
During the event, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Vu Quynh praised the initiative and creativity displayed by the LHU BorderWave team throughout their engagement in the New Generation Students 2025 competition. He noted that the students’ participation exemplified the university’s practice-oriented training approach, which emphasizes proactive involvement and the ability to face challenges.
Team’s Journey
Representatives from the team shared their experiences with their project “Border Wave,” outlining their journey through four out of five official competition rounds, ultimately earning a Consolation prize at the national level. The team highlighted the significant learning opportunities they encountered at various stages, which included university-level selection, ideation, a 48-hour project execution, and a final “Comeback” round. These experiences contributed to their development in teamwork, debate, and adaptability under pressure.
Recognition and Future Aspirations
A representative from Vietnam Television distributed participation certificates for the New Generation Students 2025 competition to the team. LHU expressed gratitude to Vietnam Television for its support in promoting educational values and innovation among students.
The program aimed to inspire LHU students to engage in future academic competitions, scientific research, and creative projects.
