Lac Hong University 2025 Milestones: Achievements and Growth in Higher Education

In 2025, Lac Hong University (LHU) reached several significant milestones that highlighted its commitment to advancing education quality and reinforcing its role within Vietnam’s higher education landscape.

Strategic Partnerships

One of the major developments was the continuation of LHU’s strategic partnership with Arizona State University (ASU), which has facilitated the internationalization of its academic programs and the adoption of innovative educational models. This collaboration aims to enhance global integration opportunities for faculty and students.

Academic Standing

In terms of academic standing, LHU was ranked 16th among Vietnamese universities in the Impact Rankings 2025. This ranking reflects the institution’s contributions to community welfare, societal advancement, and sustainable development initiatives.

Growth in Faculty and Programs

The university also experienced growth in its faculty and academic offerings, welcoming two new full-time Associate Professors and launching two new majors. Additionally, LHU received AUN-QA accreditation for eight academic programs, including four master’s degrees. Investments in infrastructure included the establishment of four new practical training rooms designed to improve the learning and research environments for students.

Research and Innovation

Regarding research and innovation, LHU reported 127 international publications, along with securing 12 international awards and 39 national awards for its faculty and students. The university’s technology transfer initiatives generated nearly 9 billion VND in revenue from 55 contracts, reflecting its commitment to applying knowledge in practical contexts.

International Cooperation

LHU also expanded its international cooperation, entering into 47 agreements and 52 memoranda of understanding. In total, 81 enterprises engaged directly with the university for recruitment and collaboration, thereby strengthening connections between education and the labor market.

Student Support Initiatives

Student support remained a priority in 2025, with LHU mobilizing 2 billion VND for its scholarship fund and distributing nearly 10 billion VND in total scholarships, which included 66 international scholarships to facilitate students’ academic and personal development.

Future Plans

Looking ahead to 2026, LHU aims to continue its development by enhancing education quality, advancing scientific research, and expanding domestic and international collaborations. Plans include refining application-oriented curricula, strengthening industry partnerships, and further investing in faculty development and facilities.

Commitment to Excellence

The university is committed to fostering internationalization, knowledge transfer, and innovation as critical elements of its strategy to improve academic competitiveness and reputation. LHU aspires to be recognized as one of Vietnam’s leading application-oriented institutions by 2030.
