Nursing Faculty from FEU Wins Top Honor at Malaysia Healthcare Conference

Ericson Batan, a faculty member from the Institute of Health Sciences and Nursing at Far Eastern University, received top honors during the International University of Malaya Medical Centre (UMMC) Nursing and Healthcare Conference. Batan’s presentation, titled “Family Engagement Practices of Nurses in the Philippines ICUs: A Cross-sectional Study,” was awarded first place among various participants, which included representatives from Malaysia, Sabah, and Timor-Leste.
Conference Overview
The UMMC conference, held on October 3 and 4, brought together over 300 healthcare professionals, educators, and innovators from around the world to discuss pressing issues within the healthcare sector. The conference theme, “Critical Care Beyond Boundaries: Sustainability, Innovation, and Collaboration,” focused on the importance of sustainable healthcare systems, technological innovations, and cooperative methods to tackle global health challenges.
