Celebrating SKKU’s 627th Anniversary at the Newly Renovated Millennium Hall

On September 24, 2025, Sungkyunkwan University (SKKU) commemorated its 627th anniversary with a ceremony held in the newly renovated Millennium Hall. The event featured participation from the university community, including faculty, staff, students, alumni, and parents, fostering a spirit of unity.

Ceremony Highlights

During the ceremony, President Ji-beom Yoo addressed the contributions of the SKKU community in advancing the university’s vision of “Bold Challenges for Humanity and the Future Society.” Various awards were presented, including the Teaching Award, President’s List Award, Administrative Innovation Incentive & Founding Anniversary Service Award, and Long-Term Service Awards.

Cultural Performance

The celebration included a performance by the SKKU Choir, followed by a communal singing of the university anthem, contributing to the overall festive atmosphere. This event marked a significant milestone as it was the first major occasion hosted in the renovated New Millennium Hall.
