International Students from BNU’s Belt and Road School Achieve Awards at 2025 World Smart Industry Expo

On September 5, 2025, the World Smart Industry Expo (WSIE 2025) commenced in Chongqing, China, focusing on the themes of “AI+” and “Intelligent Connected New Energy Vehicles.” The event attracted over 600 domestic and international enterprises, presenting more than 3,000 innovative achievements within the smart industry sector.
Participation and Achievements
Professor Pompeo Della Posta from the Belt and Road School at Beijing Normal University (BNU) attended the event alongside MBA students from various countries, including Lebanon, Bangladesh, and Ghana. Participants showcased their innovative capabilities during the Fourth Youth Patent Incubation Exhibition and International Invention Exhibition, securing notable awards. The international students received a Silver Award, a Bronze Award, and a special award from the United Kingdom for their inventive products and concepts.
Highlighting Creativity and Innovation
These achievements underscored the students’ creativity and highlighted BNU’s focus on nurturing innovative talent. Established in 2021, the Youth Patent Incubation and International Invention Exhibition has developed into a significant international platform for exchange, featuring 234 young innovators who presented 126 innovative inventions this year, demonstrating the energy and potential of youth in science and technology.

Through various practical initiatives and international exchange programs, students enhance their understanding of diverse cultures and industrial advancements globally.
