“ISI Yogyakarta Lecturer Participates in Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility Program at University College Dublin”

An instructor from the Institut Seni Indonesia Yogyakarta (ISI Yogyakarta), Anon Suneko, M.Sn., has been selected to participate in the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility (ICM) Staff Mobility program at University College Dublin (UCD) in Ireland. This program is set to take place over a period of 15 days, from August 17 to August 31, 2025, at UCD’s School of Music.
Funding and International Collaboration
Funding for Anon Suneko’s participation in the program has been provided through the Erasmus+ International Credit Mobility grant, which will cover travel expenses, accommodations, and daily allowances. This involvement represents a notable advancement in fostering international collaboration, especially in light of financial limitations within educational institutions.
Engagement with UCD Community
A Global Projects Officer at UCD, Ruth Mariani, noted that Anon Suneko’s participation could bolster academic exchanges between ISI Yogyakarta and UCD, particularly in the music domain. While in Ireland, he is anticipated to engage with the UCD community in preparation for a performance at JOGJAKARFEST, scheduled for December. Furthermore, UCD plans to conduct a workshop focused on traditional Irish wind instruments, including the Uilleann Pipe, aimed at ISI Yogyakarta faculty.
Commitment to Art Education
This initiative underscores ISI Yogyakarta’s dedication to the internationalization of art education and the expansion of its global academic networks.
