Sungkyunkwan University’s Startup Support Foundation Hosts Successful Stanford Research Institute Workshop

The Campus Town Project Group of the Startup Support Foundation at Sungkyunkwan University recently organized the Stanford Research Institute Workshop, which took place on July 31 and August 8, 2025. This workshop aimed to integrate the startup model developed by the Stanford Research Institute with the 5DOI innovation process, focusing on enhancing practical entrepreneurial skills among participants.

Participant Involvement

Undergraduate and graduate students from Sungkyunkwan University, particularly those interested in entrepreneurship, participated in the event. The workshop featured interactive components such as group exercises, team discussions, and elevator pitch presentations. The first session was held in collaboration with the Laboratory-Specialized Startup Leading University program, aimed at enriching the learning experience for student startup clubs.

Facilitator Insights

Professor Ki-Ho Choi facilitated the workshop and highlighted the significance of experiential learning in startup education. He remarked on the importance of providing participants with opportunities to encounter challenges and learn through hands-on experience.
