“Global Educational Partnerships: U.S. University Delegation Visits International University, Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City”

On April 3, 2025, International University (IU), which is part of Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City, welcomed a delegation from 20 prominent universities in the United States. This visit was organized as part of the International Academic Partnership Program (IAPP) in Vietnam, coordinated by the U.S. Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City and the Institute of International Education (IIE) to promote bilateral partnerships between Vietnamese and U.S. educational institutions.
Objectives of the Delegation
In remarks made during the visit, Ms. Natella Svistunova, Cultural Attaché at the U.S. Consulate, noted that the delegation aimed to enhance educational partnerships, focusing particularly on research, academic exchanges, and various forms of international collaboration. The potential for a 30-year partnership between Vietnam and the United States was highlighted, emphasizing education as a key component of the strategic relationship between the two countries.

The visiting group consisted of representatives from IIE and the U.S. Consulate, as well as senior officials from universities across 17 U.S. states. Among the notable institutions represented were Stanford University, Duke University, and Washington University in St. Louis.
