CAU Global Fair: A Cultural Exchange Platform for International Students at Chung-Ang University

The Office of International Affairs at Chung-Ang University recently hosted the “2025 Spring Semester CAU Global Fair,” a cultural exchange event designed for international exchange students. This fair took place over two days, on May 15 and 16, 2025, at the outdoor plaza of Building 310 (Centennial Hall). The event adopted the theme “Puang in Wonderland,” simulating an amusement park expo format.

Overview of the CAU Global Fair

The CAU Global Fair is a recurring event at the university, occurring each semester with the support of the International Affairs Team. The main focus of the fair is to allow exchange students from partner universities to present their cultures and experiences through various cultural booths and activities. This semester’s event involved approximately 150 exchange students representing 20 to 25 countries, who participated in activities designed to showcase their home cultures to the Chung-Ang University community.

Cultural Engagement Activities

Attendees had the chance to engage with global cultures by experiencing traditional clothing, food tastings, language lessons, and interactive games, which contributed to an immersive cultural environment. The event also included activities that featured Puang, the university’s mascot, which helped to enhance participation among attendees.

Organization and Feedback

Organization of the fair was managed by the Global Ambassadors from the Office of International Affairs, in collaboration with the participating exchange students. Kim Tae-nam, the president of the 14th cohort of Global Ambassadors, remarked on the event’s success, citing effective planning and execution of cultural activities that promoted genuine international exchange.
