Global Pharmacy Education: UK MPharm Students Engage in Research at UNM, Malaysia

The University of Nottingham Malaysia (UNM) continues to enhance its reputation in pharmaceutical education and research through global mobility programs and student exchanges. Recently, Master of Pharmacy (MPharm) Year 3 students from the UK campus participated in an inbound mobility initiative that enabled them to apply their academic knowledge in practical research settings within healthcare.

One of the participating students, Isabella Mo, shared insights on the educational advantages of the research initiative. She highlighted skills acquired in areas such as structuring a research paper, conducting literature reviews, and participant recruitment. In addition to academic development, Mo appreciated the cultural experiences offered in Malaysia, which included diverse culinary options and social interactions.

The university provides two internationally recognized pharmacy pathways: a Bachelor of Pharmacy (Hons) program, offered entirely in Malaysia, and a Master of Pharmacy (Hons) program, in which students complete the initial two years in Malaysia before transferring to the UK to complete their studies.
