Thammasat and Kasikornbank Launch SKILLKAMP Platform for New Gen to Boost Digital Skills
Associate Professor Dr. Dumrong Adunyarittigun, Vice Rector for Academic Division, and Assistant Professor Dr. Rachada Kongkachandra, Assistant Vice Rector for Academic Division, Thammasat University, participated in the launch of the ‘Digital Skills Enhancement Project for the New Generation and the SKILLKAMP Platform’ on January 23, 2025, at Kasikorn Bank, Rat Burana Building, Bangkok. Kasikorn Bank collaborated with 35 leading EdTech institutions and private companies to strengthen digital skills for the new generation through the SKILLKAMP platform, which includes online courses in digital skills, certification examinations, and opportunities for employment with leading organizations, aiming to enhance the digital skills of the new generation to support the growth of the digital economy.
The SKILLKAMP project is a digital skills development platform aimed at enhancing the potential of the new generation. It includes skill assessment examinations and opportunities for employment with leading organizations, in collaboration with 34 partner organizations that possess expertise in various fields. Course developers such as ThaiMOOC, Chula Neuron, the Stock Exchange of Thailand, Skooldio, and FutureSkill, as well as organizations that conduct skill assessments, such as Thailand Professional Qualification Institute, the Research and Consulting Institute of Thammasat University, and the Federation of Thai Industries are also included. Additionally, the platform partners with top employers, including Siam Cement Group, and universities, such as Thammasat and Mahidol, to connect youth with employment opportunities and enhance students’ digital skills.
SKILLKAMP is designed for those who aim to advance their careers in the digital and technology fields. This includes current students, recent graduates, career changers, and full-time employees looking to upskill or reskill in Data, Digital, and Technology. The highlights of SKILLKAMP are over 800 Thai language courses available from 16 leading institutions, with more than 300 courses offered for free. The courses cater to all needs, ranging from basic levels to advanced topics, including AI Agent & Automation, Data Analytics for Business, Data Structure & Algorithm X, and Driving Business Impact with Data, among others. Learning Path and recommended courses in four popular fields will enhance the learning experience tailored to the needs of each individual learner, including Digital Marketing, Data Analyst, Data Admin, and Front-end Developer. The organization of standardized and recognized digital skills assessment examinations in three fields, namely Digital Marketing, Data Analysis, and Digital Marketing, can maximize opportunities for collaboration with over 50 leading organizations within the partnership network.
