3rd Magnolia Culture Festival and Aesthetic Education Week at Huazhong University of Science and Technology

On March 9, the Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) hosted the 3rd Magnolia Culture Festival and Aesthetic Education Week in front of Block A of the 9th East Teaching Building. The event, themed “Timeless Elegance: Magnolia Fragrance Permeates the Campus,” aimed to promote aesthetic education and celebrate traditional Chinese culture within the university.

Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony featured Zhang Yao, Vice Chair of the University Committee. The festival included various exhibitions that highlighted the achievements in aesthetic education at HUST from the preceding year. Among the displays were roof designs of ancient buildings and artworks inspired by magnolias, reflecting the university’s focus on moral and aesthetic education.

Creative Booths and Cultural Engagement

In addition to the exhibitions, the festival presented creative booths that provided education on Chinese lacquerware, traditional medicine, and tea culture. Visitors had the chance to engage with traditional Chinese culture and enjoy live music performances throughout the event.

Film Screenings and Aesthetic Education

The festival also featured on-site film screenings aimed at promoting aesthetic education through multiple channels, both online and offline, further disseminating traditional Chinese culture across the campus.
