Annaura Nabilla Masduki, a recent graduate of Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR), has secured a position as an IT Auditor at Ernst & Young (EY). Graduating in 2024 from the Data Science Technology program within the Faculty of Advanced Technology and Multidiscipline (FTMM), she achieved a GPA of 3.58 and was awarded UNAIR’s Golden Ticket Scholarship in 2020.
Interest in IT Auditing
Her interest in the field of IT Auditing developed towards the end of her studies when she learned about the career possibilities beyond startups and academia. She engaged in extensive research about EY and took part in the EY Indonesia Goes to UNAIR event to gain further insights into the company.
Competitive Recruitment Process
The recruitment process at EY was competitive, involving multiple selection phases, including CV review, a technical exam, and interviews with management. Despite facing challenges and only advancing to the testing phase twice among numerous applications, her determination ultimately led to her employment.
Involvement in Programs and Competitions
Naura attributes her success to her involvement in several programs and competitions during her time at UNAIR. She participated in initiatives like Bangkit Academy, represented her institution in competitions such as the 2023 National Data Science Tournament and the 2022 National Business Plan Competition at Universitas Widya Mandala, and contributed to student organizations like the Airlangga Debating Society and the Student Legislative Council.
Strategic Approach to Balancing Commitments
To effectively balance her academic and extracurricular commitments, she employed a strategic approach by setting clear and achievable goals, initially aiming to graduate in 3.5 years and regularly reassessing her progress towards that target.
