Thammasat Collaborates with IEAT to Promote Cooperative Education
Thammasat University and the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) signed a memorandum of understanding to support cooperative education, internships, research, and collaboration in providing academic services to society on July 30, 2024, at the Pridi Banomyong Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, Dome Administrative Building, Thammasat University, Rangsit.
Prof. Dr. Supasawad Chardchawarn, Acting Rector of Thammasat University, revealed that Thammasat University and the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand (IEAT) cooperate in various dimensions to promote knowledge and human resources development together to meet the country’s needs. Thammasat University is an excellent educational and research institution with renowned qualities. The university is committed to producing graduates who play a significant role in national development and become knowledgeable, competent, and ethical scholars contributing significantly to organizations, both public and private sectors.
“The pursuit of goals cannot be achieved solely by the university alone, but it is essential to receive cooperation, support, and promotion from various external organizations. I firmly believe that these organizations share the same goal as us in developing human resources for the nation,” said Prof. Dr. Supasawad.
Prof. Dr. Supasawad emphasized that the IEAT is equipped with knowledgeable personnel who are rich in potential and abilities, with a vast network of various companies. Therefore, this collaboration based on mutual commitment to promote and support education and operational activities in internships, cooperative education, and various events, shall lead to achieve the goals and success as intended by both parties.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Veeris Ammarapala, Governor of the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand, expressed his gratitude to Thammasat University for the privilege to drive as a vital force in pushing forward development and prosperity for the country in the future. He emphasized that human resource development is crucial and must receive cooperation from all parties. There is readiness in terms of knowledge, personnel, and networks, with 68 industrial estates operating in 16 provinces. Therefore, the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand is prepared to promote, support, and publicize education and operations, especially in terms of internships and various activities to serve the community, as stipulated in the cooperation agreement.
