Thammasat Collaborates with TFPA for Financial Planning and Insurance.

The Faculty of Science and Technology, Thammasat University, led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supetch Jirakajornkul, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Thammasat University, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the Thai Financial Planners Association (TFPA), represented by Mr. Wiroj Tangcharoen, President of the Thai Financial Planners Association, to enhance the educational capacity for the insurance industry, emphasizing the development of high-quality personnel to support the future financial industry.

This collaboration aims to develop financial planning knowledge for students and staff, focusing on curriculum development and skill training. It involves knowledge exchange, lecturer support, and joint efforts to prepare students for the financial industry through projects, internships, and cooperative education opportunities in finance and insurance-related organizations.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Supetch Jirakajornkul, Dean of the Faculty of Science and Technology, Thammasat University, mentioned the importance of collaboration on this occasion. The Faculty of Science and Technology, Actuarial Science, recognizes the importance of collaboration in education, personnel development, and knowledge management to advanced academics, technology, and innovation. These efforts aim to support the growth and stability of the financial industry.

The collaboration between the Faculty of Science and Technology, Actuarial Science, and the Association of Thai Financial Planners aims to develop skilled professionals in financial planning and insurance, meeting the growing demand in these industries. This initiative also promotes better financial health among Thai people, contributing to an improved quality of life.

Mr. Wiroj Tangcharoen, President of the Thai Financial Planners Association, mentioned that the association plays a crucial role in producing Certified Financial Planners (CFP) who meet international standards and are widely recognized. This is in line with the demands of the labor market in the financial and insurance industries. The collaboration with Thammasat University on this occasion aligns with the association’s mission to cultivate financial planners from the academic level. The association has jointly reviewed the curriculum content and provided support to individuals, particularly CFP financial planners with knowledge, expertise, experience, and professional ethics to effectively impart skills, knowledge, and experience to students.

In addition, both parties have agreed to promote cooperation in personal financial planning and insurance widely. The signing with Thammasat University is considered a collaboration with the higher education sector, the 7th institution.
