Universiti Malaya has confirmed the admission of Izz Imil, a 12-year-old student, into the Bachelor of Science in Mathematics program within the Faculty of Science. This decision followed a comprehensive interview conducted by a special committee appointed by the university, which gained approval from the university’s Senate.

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dato’ Seri Ir. Dr. Noor Azuan Abu Osman, addressed the need to provide Izz Imil with adequate space and privacy to assist in his learning and adaptation at the university. The Vice-Chancellor noted that this support is crucial for the student’s overall growth and academic success.
