Thammasat Researchers invented the latest innovations, winning 9 world-class awards
Team of researchers from Thammasat University invented outstanding works in the “Inventions Geneva Evaluation Days – Virtual Event” contest, won up to 9 world-class awards, including 1 Gold Medal, and 8 Silver Medals, which was held in the form of online event during March 2022 in Geneva, the Swiss Confederation.
The “Inventions Geneva Evaluation Days – Virtual Event” contest is supported by Swiss governments such as The Swiss Federal Government of the State and The City of Geneva, and the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).
Assoc. Prof. Gasinee Witoonchart, Rector of Thammasat University said that the Thammasat University research team was one of the representatives of Thailand who participated in the research submissions in this international stage. From research projects from many countries that have submitted entries for the contest and exhibited over 500 works from 20 countries around the world, it is very gratifying that researchers and/or inventors of Thammasat University won several awards back home which could strongly be a morale booster and an example for the new generation of Thammasat researchers to follow in the future.
Prof. Dr. Siriwan Suebnukan M.D., Vice Rector for Research and Innovation, Thammasat University revealed that Thammasat University has set a goal to implement the plan in developing research excellence and evolving Thammasat University to become a world-leading research university. Over the past decades, Thammasat researchers are able to produce research projects and innovations that have continually foster society. It has successively been receiving guaranteed awards from various forums both nationally and internationally.
The awards the research team received from the “Inventions Geneva Evaluation Days” contest reflects that Thammasat University has both resources and potential personnel which are able to invent innovations to truly help society and develop the country.
The awards that the Thammasat University research team received from the “Inventions Geneva Evaluation Days – Virtual Event” contest consisted of 9 prizes, comprising of:
