Thammasat Researcher won National Outstanding Researcher in Philosophy of 2021
National Research Council of Thailand announced the 2021 National Outstanding Researcher Award winner in Philosophy from Thammasat University which made a major contribution to Buddhism aiming for the process of seeking truth with concepts, teachings, and use in today’s world.
Ms. Wipharat De-Ong, Director of the National Research Council of Thailand or NRCT organized a press conference ‘Open House for Research & Innovation by NRCT” (In-House): one of the 2021 outstanding researchers’ to promote research and innovation to allow an advancement in the innovation and wisdom in various fields. There are 7 awardees in total and today, the 5th winner was announced. Professor Watchara Ngamchitcharoen from the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thammasat University was deemed the national outstanding researcher in Philosophy.
Professor Watchara Ngamchitcharoen said that took an interest in Buddhism since childhood and he began researching Buddhism since 2003, creating 9 research papers mainly related to Buddhism in 3 dimensions: concept, teaching or principle, application of principles in today’s world, reforming, developing and solving problems related to monks. He is very proud to have received this award.
The National Outstanding Researcher Award Ceremony will be held in the 2021 Thailand Inventors’ Day during May 26-30 at BITEC Bangna Exhibition and Convention Center.
