TUAN Alumni Association Meeting in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam: Highlights and Future Plans

On March 1, a meeting of the Tsukuba Universal Alumni Network (TUAN) was held in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. The event was organized by Dr. Ngo Thi Lan Phuong, a representative of TUAN, in collaboration with local graduates. TUAN, which was established on October 1, 2023, commemorates the university’s 151st anniversary and includes former international students, Japanese graduates, current international students, and Japanese students.
Meeting Details
The meeting attracted 21 participants, comprising alumni and current students. Key attendees included Director Nakao Nomura from the Student Support Center’s Office for International Exchange Support, as well as Associate Professor Ho Kiong and Assistant Professors Mayers Thomas David and Vuong Cat Khanh from the Institute of Medicine. Participants exchanged updates regarding their current activities and reflected on their university experiences, discussing the prospective direction of TUAN.
Future Initiatives
Future initiatives will concentrate on strengthening connections among alumni from diverse backgrounds and generations, with the objective of establishing an international network linked to the University of Tsukuba.
