Enhancing Financial Literacy through Practical Investment Strategies at Multimedia University
On June 18, 2025, Multimedia University (MMU) in Melaka hosted an industrial talk titled “Bridging Strategy and Goals: Investment Management through a Financial Planner’s Lens.” The event attracted around 60 participants, including students and faculty members.
Key Speaker and Insights
Mr. Wong Choon Hong, a licensed financial planning practitioner and adviser, served as the key speaker for the session. An alumnus of MMU’s Faculty of Business from the Class of 2011, he shared insights derived from his professional experiences. Mr. Wong emphasized the importance of strong investment knowledge and provided practical strategies tailored to align with individual values and long-term financial goals.
Institutional Support and Commitment
Attending the event, Madam Hazlaili Binti Hashim, Head of the Department of Business, Economics and Finance, highlighted the university’s ongoing efforts to promote engagement between academic institutions and industry stakeholders. The event was organized by Dr. Audrey Lim Li Chin, Ms. Ng Lik Neo, and Dr. Ng Tuan Hock, reflecting their commitment to enhancing students’ educational experiences through practical applications.
