UNAIR Admits 3,162 New Students Through SNBT Admission Pathway

Universitas Airlangga (UNAIR) has confirmed the admission of 3,162 students through the National Test-Based Selection (SNBT) pathway. This announcement was made during a press conference held on May 28, 2025, at Amerta Hall in the UNAIR Management Office on the MERR-C campus. The event featured several UNAIR officials, including Rector Prof. Dr. Mohammad Nasih, Vice Rector for Academic, Student Affairs, and Alumni Prof. Dr. Bambang Sektiari Lukiswanto, and Head of the Student Admissions Center Dr. Achmad Solihin.
Details of the Admission Process
During the conference, Prof. Nasih shared that the institution received a total of 76,238 applications this year. He noted that the admitted candidates are currently classified as prospective students, as they must complete additional enrollment steps. Of the newly admitted students, 531 qualified for the KIP-K (Indonesia Smart Card for College) scholarship from a total of 12,376 applicants.
Average Admission Scores
The average admission scores for various academic programs were also discussed. The Medicine program reported the highest average score, at 755.94. Prof. Nasih underscored the significance of this information, encouraging applicants to consider their scores carefully when selecting programs.
Criteria for Admission Decisions
Admissions decisions were stated to be based solely on SNBT results, with different weights assigned to each subtest depending on the specific requirements of the programs. For instance, the criteria for Medicine differ from those of Engineering.
Enrollment Urgency and Verification
Prof. Nasih urged candidates to finalize their enrollment as soon as possible to secure their positions, indicating that slots may be reassigned to candidates from independent selections if necessary. Additionally, a new requirement for on-campus identity verification was introduced to enhance the accuracy of student data and mitigate potential legal issues.
Conclusion and Call to Action
The conference concluded with a reminder for prospective students to treat this opportunity with seriousness and adhere to all enrollment deadlines.
