Chula University and Cartier Thailand Unveil Entrepreneurial Program for Women’s Initiative

Chulalongkorn University and Cartier Thailand have collaborated to introduce the “Entrepreneurial Program for the Cartier Women’s Initiative.” This initiative aims to provide training for early-stage social entrepreneurs, facilitated by faculty members from Chulalongkorn University alongside recognized speakers from various business areas.

Program Objectives

The program’s objective is to enhance the participants’ understanding and management skills necessary for effectively operating social enterprises. Additionally, it seeks to improve their capabilities in securing funding and support. The launch of the program featured remarks from Prof. Dr. Wilert Puriwat, President of Chulalongkorn University, and details about the initiative were provided by Ms. Pornpreya Vivadhnajat, Managing Director of Cartier Thailand, highlighting the establishment of the “Cartier Women’s Initiative Incubation Program.”

Collaboration and Commitment

Prof. Dr. Puriwat noted that this collaboration aligns with the university’s commitment to fostering new entrepreneurs and promoting shared value through increased opportunities and equality. The program consists of six lessons scheduled to be delivered in Thai on Saturdays from February 22 to March 29, 2025, at the Maha Thirarachanusorn Building, Chulalongkorn University.

Eligibility and Participation

The training is available to social entrepreneurs in Thailand, defined as business owners or significant partners whose enterprises contribute to at least one of the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals. Participation is encouraged from individuals of all gender identities and age groups.

About the Cartier Women’s Initiative

The Cartier Women’s Initiative (CWI), established in 2006, is dedicated to promoting equality and supporting women who lead social enterprises. Over the past 18 years, CWI has impacted social entrepreneurs in more than 66 countries, providing funding and creating a comprehensive network of over 700 experts, advisors, and supporters. In 2023, the initiative introduced a new award category focused on Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion, aimed at advancing equality for marginalized groups.
