Thammasat Design School Organizes ‘BERAC2024’ and ‘INTERNATIONAL WORKSHOP IN BANGKOK 2024’
Thammasat Design School, Thammasat University, is organizing the 15th Built Environment Research Associates Conference (BERAC2024) under the theme ‘Synergy in Global Perspectives: Innovations Driving Sustainable Development across Borders’ at the Auditorium, 5th floor of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). The event is honored by Mr. Sanon Wangsrangboon, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, Mr. Toni Rakkaen, actor and influencer, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Daranee Jareemit, lecturer in the Architecture Department, Thammasat Design School, Thammasat University. The conference will feature academic presentations and research works in both Oral Presentation and Poster Presentation by graduate students, researchers, and faculty members from various universities and organizations at the meeting rooms on the 4th and 5th floors of BACC.
BERAC2024 academic conference provides an opportunity for professionals, researchers, and enthusiasts in the field of Built Environment to enhance research skills, data analysis, academic presentation, and effective academic communication. It also aims to inspire new innovations to promote sustainable urban development in the future. Additionally, BERAC2024 serves as a significant platform for combining creative ideas and innovations from around the world for sustainable development that covers all aspects.
Moreover, the Thammast Design School collaborated with the Department of Architecture and Architectural Planning, Kyoto University, Japan, to organize the International Workshop in Bangkok 2024 under the theme “Urban Regeneration in Historical Creative District” to develop and create an academic network, as well as support sustainable academic cooperation activities. The aim is to generate design proposals for the area that will benefit stakeholders in the future. This initiative received support from the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration, the Faculty of Architecture, Kasetsart University, We!Park, and Punmuang Group.
The 3 parts involved activities are a lecture on Urban Regeneration in Kyoto by Prof. Kiyoyama Yohei from Kyoto University, a discussion on Inclusive Public Space by Mr. Yossapon Boonsom from We!Park, and a presentation on Bangkok Creative District by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Peeradorn Kaewlai, a lecturer of the Department of Architecture, Thammasat Design School, Thammasat University, in the Digital Media Space (DMS) of the Thammasat Design School, Thammasat University. There are also on-site activities including the introduction of the “Creative District Project of Bangkok Metropolitan Administration” by Mr. Sanon Wangsrangboon, Deputy Governor of Bangkok, and a site survey of the Song Wat Road area by Punmuang Group.
