UGM’s Solar and Water Projects Empower Terban Community with Enhanced Energy and Resource Access
Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) has launched initiatives aimed at enhancing energy and resource accessibility in the Terban community, focusing on solar energy and water management. These projects are part of a comprehensive approach to empower residents by providing sustainable energy solutions and effective water resource management.
Solar Energy Initiative
The solar initiative is designed to utilize renewable energy sources, which will enable households in Terban to decrease their dependence on conventional energy supplies. This transition aims to promote environmental sustainability while also improving the overall quality of life for residents through a more dependable energy source.
Water Management Initiative
In parallel with the solar project, the water management initiative seeks to develop water supply systems that guarantee sufficient access to clean drinking water for community members. This aspect is particularly important, as the community has faced previous difficulties related to water scarcity and quality.
Long-Term Benefits
Both projects are anticipated to yield long-term advantages, enhancing living conditions and stimulating economic development within the Terban area. These initiatives reflect UGM’s focus on community development by offering practical and innovative solutions that address local needs.
