UNS Graduation 2025: 593 Degrees Awarded, 176 Students Achieve Cum Laude Honors

Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS) conducted its second graduation ceremony of 2025, awarding degrees to 593 graduates. The event was held at the G.P.H. Haryo Mataram Auditorium on February 22, 2025, where 176 graduates received cum laude honors for their academic achievements.
Notable Attendees
Notable attendees included Prof. Dr. Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, S.H., M.H., who serves as the Head of the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) and Vice Chairman of the UNS Alumni Association. Representatives from various other institutions, including Universitas Muhammadiyah Surakarta and Universitas Negeri Makassar, were also present.
Graduate Distribution
During the event, Vice Rector for Academic and Research Affairs, Prof. Fitria Rahmawati, detailed the distribution of the graduates across different academic programs: 27 in Diploma III, 4 in Diploma IV, 438 in Bachelor’s programs, 31 in Specialist Medical Education, 74 in Master’s programs, and 19 in Doctoral programs. The cohort included two international students from Turkmenistan and Malaysia.
Achievements in the Doctoral Program
Highlighting the achievements within the Doctoral program, Dr. Indra Rahmatullah was recognized as the fastest graduate, completing the program in 2 years and 11 months, while Dr. Noor Shazreen Binti Mortadza was noted as the youngest graduate at age 31. Similar distinctions for pace and age were observed across Master’s, Bachelor’s, and Diploma programs.
International Student Experience
Dr. Noor Shazreen shared her experiences as an international student from Malaysia, expressing her gratitude to her peers and reflecting positively on her time at UNS in Solo.
Closing Remarks
In his address, Prof. Zudan stressed the importance of resilience, encouraging graduates to value their educational journeys and make meaningful contributions to society while upholding the reputation of UNS.
The ceremony concluded with congratulations extended to all graduates, marking a significant achievement in their academic and professional trajectories.
