Thammasat Student Win Royal Award for Academic Excellence
Congratulations to Tawanrat Piriyalertsak, a fourth-year student in the Computer Engineering program at Sirindhorn International Institute of Technology, for receiving the Royal Award 2023 at the higher education level. The Royal Award is a prestigious accolade granted to students who demonstrate outstanding academic performance and exemplary achievements in various fields.
Tawanrat is a high-achieving student with a passion for using technology to benefit society. She excels academically, actively participates in competitions, and demonstrates leadership in various technology initiatives. Her commitment to social good is evident in projects like the UV Tractor, which earned her recognition at the Kubota Hackathon 2022 for its potential to help farmers reduce costs and protect the environment.
Tawanrat’s impressive achievements extend beyond academic excellence. She secured the First Runner-Up Award in the CU SCI Box League 2023 for developing an AI-powered exercise application that helps users maintain correct posture and can be used for physical therapy. Furthermore, she initiated the “Image Captioning in Thai” project, which uses advanced technology to convert images into Thai audio descriptions, aiding visually impaired individuals.
