‘Thammasat’ and ‘Satit MBU’ Collaborate in Curriculum and Research Development

Thammasat University, led by Professor Dr. Supasawad Chardchawarn, Acting Rector, in collaboration with Mahamakut Buddhist University, by the Rector, Phra Dhammawachirajindaporn, Associate Professor Dr., jointly signed a memorandum of understanding to develop academic aspects, curriculum development, research, and academic service activities for the Demonstration School of Mahamakut Buddhist University at the Thammasat University Demonstration School, Thammasat University, Rangsit Campus.

The ultimate goal is to develop Mahamakut University Demonstration School as a model educational institution that can effectively integrate global and moral education, aiming to produce high-quality ethical leaders, create knowledge, and develop strategies that can be expanded to Phrapariyattidham Schools nationwide.

Prof. Dr. Supasawad Chardchawarn, Acting Rector of Thammasat University, stated that the academic cooperation agreement with Mahamakut Buddhist University is not only about exchanging knowledge but also aims to develop the demonstration school as a model educational institution that promotes effective education globally and morally. There is a commitment to create knowledge and development strategies that can be expanded to Phrapariyattidham schools nationwide, leading to sustainable enhancement of education quality and societal development on a broad scale.

Phra Dhammawachirajindaporn, Associate Professor Dr., the Rector of Mahamakut Buddhist University, revealed that the Mahamakut Buddhist University Demonstration School is an important institution in cultivating Buddhist principles from grades 7-12. For students who lack educational opportunities, the institute will provide educational opportunities through a process of nurturing and enhancing the quality of personnel in Buddhist principles, ethics, and morality, with intellect to be the inheritors of the true teachings of Buddhism to humanity, fostering peace and happiness, and establishing a lasting culture for Buddhism.

It serves as a nurturing ground for research-based learning processes, and is a quality educational institution for the community. This important first step will lead us to jointly develop the academic capabilities of teachers and students, promote research and development, and support collaborative school improvement activities. For the signing ceremony, senior executives from both institutions served as witnesses, including Assoc. Prof. Dr. Anuchat Poungsomlee, Chairman of the Executive Committee of the Demonstration School of Thammasat University, Asst. Prof. Dr. Sahawarat Polharn, Acting Director of the Demonstration School of Thammasat University, Phra Sriwachirawatee, Asst. Prof. Dr., Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and Quality Development of Mahamakut Buddhist University, Phra Suteewachiradhamma, Asst. Prof. Dr., Vice Rector of Mahamakut Buddhist University, Isaan Campus, and Acting Director of the Demonstration School of Mahamakut Buddhist University.
