International Students Join Tianjin Economic Radio’s Audio Program on Intangible Cultural Heritage

On November 7, 2024, three international students from Tianjin University participated in the “Foreigners’ Perspective” audio program hosted by Tianjin Economic Radio. The students, Munkhbaatar Purevbataar and Oyun-Erdene Bujinlkham from Mongolia, along with Tan Shu Yi from Malaysia, contributed to a discussion on the theme “Foreigners Exploring Intangible Cultural Heritage.”

Engagement with Cultural Heritage

During their session, the students engaged with Ms. Zhao Yanju, a fifth-generation inheritor of Chen’s Porcelain Making (Hand-painted) Technique, which has been recognized as an intangible cultural heritage project in Tianjin. This interaction provided the international students an opportunity to explore and understand the distinctive elements of this cultural heritage, thereby promoting cultural exchange between China and various countries.
